Let’s be real. Some days are about staying in your pajamas all day. Days where we just feel like doing NOTHING, even though there are things to do, places to go and people to see.
This post is for those days. If you do these things I can bet you will feel better. 🙂
Don’t feel bad about it. If you’re able, go and lay down and sleep for a few hours. Stay in your comfy clothes, grab your best blanket and pillow and snooze away. I suggest you set an alarm so you don’t sleep all day. If napping isn’t possible and you’re tired be sure to go to bed a little early.
Don’t neglect your health. Nourish your body. Give it plenty of water. Take your medicine and/or vitties. Take a bath. Get dressed (even if it’s into clean pajamas). Move a little.
Find something motivational or inspiring. There’s PLENTY to choose from, from books, YouTube videos, podcasts, audio books, etc.
Make some sticky notes with reminders of the things you are truly grateful for. Post them where you’ll see them to remind yourself throughout the day that life is good.
Even if you’ve never done it before, try meditating. If you don’t know how, I suggest you search YouTube for some guided meditations. There are meditations for healing, stress relief, sleeping, aligning your Chakras and just about everything else you can think of.
That’s it! Just doing these little things can make a big difference. I’ve spent days in bed due to anxiety and depression in the past, before I started a self care routine. Some days I still feel like I just don’t want to get out of bed due to back pain. BUT I realized that staying in bed ultimately makes me feel worse.
We all have shitty days once in a while. It is what it is. No one is positive and perky 24/7. Sometimes life throws us curve balls and things go wrong. But you don’t have to go down that downward spiral. Keep your chin up because there’s still so much to be grateful for.
So go get something healthy-ish to much on and find a good video or podcast to start. You can always make the most of every day.
Here’s a little graphic for you to save if you’d like with these simple little reminders.
