Day two of a seven day blog challenge created by Daysixtyfive. The challenge is technically over but I’m participating anyway!
Over the past few years I’ve been working hard on some introspective work, dealing with past traumas, learning to let go of negative emotions when they arise and doing daily affirmations.
When you do a lot of self-improvement type activities like listening to positive affirmations, journaling, meditating, reading or listening to inspirational authors, developing a self care routine, etc, it can seem like no major change is taking place. It’s like taking vitamins. You don’t even realize how they are keeping you healthy.
Well, I finally feel like things are falling into place.
I’m actually recognizing that I’m having less negative self talk. I’m feeling more optimistic. I’ve been able to do some genuine forgiving. I am enjoying life and there’s just a little more spring in my step.
This year I’m looking forward to the fruition of all my hard work. I can truly say that I love myself more. I am taking better care of my mental and emotional health. I stopped working full time and now work 20 hours per week. I’m still able to contribute and stay active but can also take time to do other things. I’m far less stressed and just feel better mentally.
I honestly believe that this is my year to shine. I’m looking forward to the growth of this blog, moving houses which we plan on doing at the beginning of summer, getting in better health and prospering in many ways.
What are you looking forward to this year?
Did you set new goals this year or are you continuing working on some ongoing goals?
If you do self-care regularly, have you noticed it making a positive difference in your life? If so, how?
I feel positive about this year for everyone. I hope you’re crushing your goals and that all your dreams come true. If you’re struggling, just hang in there. Life can be like a roller-coaster. There will be ups and downs for every single one of us. You’re never alone in this world.
If you’re interested in self care, consider following this blog. I post a lot of “food for thought” and ideas for self care. I believe it truly can make a huge difference in everyone’s lives. Especially if you’re a people- pleaser or normally have a hard time saying no.
You can participate in this blog challenge as well. Just hop on over to Day65 to check out the subjects.
May you be happy and well.
