It’s Christmas time at Lambie & BB’s! Two easy cookie recipes for the holiday.

Classic No Bake cookies. (They hadn’t quite cooled/set yet when I snapped this photo. They turned out perfectly). The chocolate and peanut butter pair perfectly with a chewy oatmeal base. So good!

Recipe I used

Classic Seven Layer “Magic” Cookie Bars. I can’t cut them yet because they are for tomorrow. I wish I could show you the chewy gooey goodness inside. I love these bars so much! I may even sneak a taste myself (though they aren’t on my diet)!

I used this recipe. If you make it, here’s a tip: I added a small extra handful of chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and coconut. I did not need to add any more sweetened condensed milk.

I thought I’d share some personal photos of the cookies I made today. It’s something I want to do a lot more in the coming year for my blog. I’ve been practicing taking photos and want to experiment with some LR presets (pre-set filters for the app “light room.”)

I actually just ordered a few presets I had my eye on from Etsy! (Merry Christmas to me!) I can’t wait to give them a try. I’ve never ordered presets or downloaded them for use in LR. I hope it’s easy!

So, I’m celebrating Christmas with my husband, our son and his partner (basically our second son) at the boy’s house. I’ll be snapping some photos tomorrow of our day and will, of course, be sharing them with you.

What is everyone doing for their holiday?

Ours will be simple and sweet. Just a nice meal, good company and a gift exchange between the four of us.

I have had a really bad pain flare up (chronic back pain that has worsened a lot this year to the point of being almost unbearable at times) and had to do a lot of extra resting the past couple of days.

However, I was able to color my hair today, bathe our dog (who will be coming with us tomorrow) and make two different types of cookies. Tomorrow I need to wrap the few presents we bought for the boys and their doggo, do a load of laundry and pack a bag because we’re staying the night.

I’m hitting the hay early tonight just in case I don’t sleep well. I tend to wake up a lot more in the night when I have pain so want to make sure I’ll get plenty of rest. Luckily for me I have a super supportive and down to earth family. If I need to rest on the couch tomorrow over there it’s not a problem!

Let me know in the comments section what preparations you’re making today or tomorrow for Christmas.

Are you celebrating simply or going all out this year?

Do you have any special traditions you can share with me? I’d love to hear how you make your day special.

If you don’t see me again til after the holiday, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. I hope this finds you well and that you are healthy and happy. Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends!

May you be blessed with the Christmas/Hanukkah spirit and have a wonderful, prosperous, healthy and happy new year!
