You’re not going to find world travel photos on this blog. You aren’t going to find expert makeup tutorials, magical before and after transformations or amazing displays of creativity that are “Instagram worthy.” If you’re looking for that, I’m pretty sure you can find about a million other “basic” blogs quite easily to fulfill those needs.
My life is simple and honest.
Sometimes I love it and sometimes I don’t. I get happy and sad, sometimes at the same time! I get angry, depressed, elated and excited. Some days I’m motivated and productive and others I can’t seem to get it together and have to come back to the house from the car like 3 times before I can finally head off for work!
This blog, as insignificant as it may be to the world, is part of my own personal journey in that I’m not going to be fake here. What you see is what you get. (Ok, I might be using filters on my photos but, trust me, it’s for your own protection)!
One of my personal revelations was realizing it really is best to be your true self, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
I’m not saying that’s easy to do every day in this world. Especially when we are bombarded by media that is almost all fake in some way or another.
I just think it’s an amazing thing when I meet someone and can see their true heart and soul. I’m attracted to people like that. I want to be a person like that, for myself and for others.
I’m also realizing (oh how I wish I had learned this so much sooner!) that truly, love is the most important thing there is and could quite possibly be the answer to the meaning of life. AND, that love includes love for ourselves!
I don’t know why they don’t teach this stuff in school! I wonder, if they did, what kind of world we would be living in today.
So, I guess this post is just a ramble. But I also hope it is a reminder of what you already know in your heart to be true…that your life doesn’t have to be IG worthy to be beautiful, you are perfect the way you are and love is the most important thing.
May we all do our best today, coming from a place of love for ourselves and each other.
